Our International People’s Project
In the early summer of 2011, 8 young volunteers from all over the world met in Stavanger, Norway. 2 cars were waiting to bring them to 1 cabin in the tiny village of Ådneram, high up in the mountains. They had 3 weeks in Ådneram to reach their 4 project goals;
- to learn to work together
- to learn to carry out a project
- to develop intercultural perspectives
- to develop an understanding of the local and global context of dugnad.
Throughout the time in Ådneram the volunteers painted walls, built shelves, cut trees and learned how to use 7 different practical tools for renovation. With (only) 6 sunny days, they also had time to develop and share their perspective.
