Delegation of the Day: USA
You are responsible for certain tasks at the camp and everyone gets a turn. On our day we were supposed to wake the rest of the camp up but instead were woken up by our leader telling us it was Handicap Day and we all had to experience a disability. Some people blind and others mute. Adam was tied to another person as conjoined twins. So was Hannah. Wallaki couln’t talk and Zander had his feet tied together as he only had one leg.
We all had to make our way to flag time and continue as normal even though it was so weird seeing everyone with a disability. As delegation of the day we had to set the placemats and do dishes. We had to do this like all other delegations but we were mute, blind, no arms and one leged. It was so much fun.
We played soccer and did an obstacle course. Everyone was helping eachother.
At breakfast and lunch a lot of people needed help eating and even getting the food.
It was fun seeing people hopping around and having one hand or no hands trying to eat. After lunch the activity was over and we all got to talk about what we went through.
Then we played Capture the Flag. At dinner, the eating was back to normal. We got to pick which tables go first so we made up questions about us and whoever got it right would be first in line. After dinner we played the Stereotypes game and learned about other cultures and found out that some things we thought were true actually weren’t.
It was fun being the delegation of the day and being in the kitchen also.
