Outline of the Global conference team
CISV Norway are seeking dedicated volunteers to work on the new Global Conference in Norway 2015. The Global Conference is in the making and the shaping of this new exciting conference will be done in cooperation with CISV Norway and CISV International.
The work will be divided into mainly two parts, a planning period and the execution of the conference held in the beginning of august 2015. Planning will start from september 2013.
The global conference team will be 6 people and will lead the work up to when the staff will start. The global conference staff will start their work approx. october 2014. The team will report to CISV Norway and their appointed control group.
For all positions are we looking for creative people with knowledge of both project management and execution. For the conference team you will need to know about how to fundraise in Norway, have an overall understanding of economy, be able to communicate both written and oral, have extended knowledge of CISV, and have great cooperation skills. The team will provide the content from CISV Norway side and thus it is necessary to have good knowledge of the peace education CISV provides. It will be a plus if you can bring in thoughts on peace education from other experience such as educational training or experience. We are looking for team players that can work together as a group and experience from team work will be essential.
We are seeking to have a difference in age goups and gender and since being a youth organisation we are especially promoting young people to apply. The board of CISV Norway will pick candidates.
Below are the positions that we are looking for.
Chair
Overall responsibilty for the team and later staff. Be able to encourage all team members and keep progress on the work at a high pace. Be responsible for reporting to control group and responsibilty towards conference site.
Finance
Overall responsibilty for finance for the conference. Together with «Funding» making sure that we are able to fund great content whether it is from sponsors, funds or government. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of finance and accounting.
Content
Overall responsibilty for the follow up on CISV International and the content provided by CISV Int. Also responsible for content provided by CISV Norway. We are looking for people with knowledge in peace education and experience in setting up conferences similar to the global conference
Content II
Overall responsibilty for content provided by CISV Norway focusing on youth participation and peace educational content for youth. Also assisiting follow up on CISV International and the content provided by CISV Int. We are looking for people with knowledge in peace education and experience in setting up conferences similar to the global conference
PR
Overall responsibility for PR and advertising of the Global Conference. Cooperate with CISV Int. on delivering messages to the international CISV community. We are looking for people with experience from media work.
Funding
Overall responsibility for the funding of content from CISV Norway. Together with finance making sure that we explore every possibility to fund great content whether it is from sponsors, funds or government. We are seeking people with experience in applying for funds from the government and/or fundraising from sponsors.
